Boating is one of the traditions of indigenous culture. The traditional boat race was held on the Dhaleshwari river in Munshiganj in a huge festive atmosphere. Millions of people flocked to this festival. Boat races were held in an area of ​​3 km from port city Mirkadim to Munshiganj launch ghat. Munshiganj is a thousand year old Buddhist monastery

A thousand-year-old Buddhist monastery has been found buried under the ground in Raghurampur village of Rampal union in Munshiganj Sadar upazila. This Buddhist monastery was discovered through excavations carried out to recover archeological and historical monuments.
This information was officially given through a press conference by the Director of Research and Professor of Archeology at Jahangirnagar University, Dr. Sufi Mostafizur Rahman. It was informed at the press conference that five monks' rooms of the Buddhist monastery have already been opened. Each monk's room measures 3.5 meters (length) and 3.5 meters (width). It is believed that this Buddhist monastery has a relationship with Atisha Dwipankar, a Buddhist monk.
According to the design of the discovered Buddhist monastery, excavators have confirmed that one of its walls runs north and the other wall runs west. The monks' chambers have been unearthed at the southeast corner of the Buddhist monastery. Is taken. Archaeological excavations and research projects are now underway in the Bikrampur area at the initiative of an organization called Agrasar Bikrampur. The discovery of Buddhist monasteries is believed to have taken the history and heritage of the Bikrampur region one step further in the court of the world. The members of Agrasar Bikrampur Foundation have said that this discovered Buddhist monastery will take place not only in Bangladesh but also in the world.
